Martin Michael Boryczewski

Beloved Son, Brother, Friend
August 17, 1972 - September 11, 2001

Our Dearest Marty,

Remembering you as a child, skinny legs, white blonde hair, an innocence about your face; no matter what, no one could stay angry with you, you were just too cute! Your determination began then. At Christmas, you would take all your toys and sit for hours, sweating, turning red from frustration as you desperately worked to dismantle each one. Then when all were in pieces, a sigh of relief, and that grin, you "brookded it"!!

A natural born athlete, you tried everything. From baseball, basketball, soccer, football, hockey, golf, motocross, racing bicycles, fishing, hunting and snowboarding. Weeding them out, you settled on baseball and fishing, making each a life-long commitment, your very being. You, fishing and baseball were one in the same. The more you touched them, the more golden you and they became.

Growing up in a Catholic home, you kept your education in Catholic Schools, graduating from Saint Peters College in Jersey City. Of course, during all your years of school, you played baseball and every weekend we were again made proud as your talents filled the sports pages of every local paper. We watched with pride as you played for four years in the minor leagues of the Mounties, Pirates and Tigers. You are an inspiration to us Marty. Your every dream, every goal was met with such grace and pride. You were wise, determined and strong beyond your years. Your love for the outdoors blossomed you into a master fly fisherman. You lived out your weekends on your prize possession, the boat you bought this summer; the water was your "heaven on earth". All that you encountered, whether a hobby or a relationship, you took to levels most have never experienced, but we were warmed by seeing the closeness you developed in them. You are "Uncle Marty" to friend's children, and you are "Brother" to your best friends. You shared your life and passions unselfishly with all those around you. You went to work in the field of your dreams, for the company you always hoped to be with, Cantor Fitzgerald. Trading at Cantor became your greatest passion. Again, you excelled with such grandeur.

You are the son that Mommy and Daddy dreamt of, even more; the brother to your sisters Julie and Michele that any sister can be nothing but proud of, a friend that gives new meaning to the word itself. All the talents that God has given you, the gifts that surround us from Him, you made the very best of and used in the purest of forms. You wasted nothing and appreciated everything!

Our hearts ache for you Marty; you are missed in ways our words can never express. We love you more than you know. You are always with us; we will take you everywhere we go as we continue on our journey. May we make you proud in our choices as you have made us and live by the examples you have shown us. We know you will stay with us always and greet us with that beautiful, gentle smile when our time is called.

Thank you Marty, just for being you and showing us what life is about. Thank you for being our son, brother and friend. We love you "Googie" and miss you with all that we are!!

All our love, always,

Mommy, Daddy, Julie and Michele, Marty's Family
